Senior Manual QA Engineer

You will be responsible for developing and executing test cases to diagnose issues and bugs, creating test data when required for applications. You will verify fixes, validate and document the completion of testing and development activities. Additionally, you will participate in defining and communicating best practices and ensuring the maintenance of daily releases. Your role will also involve improving and automating test strategies and software configurations, defining test strategies and test manuals for tracking and fixing software issues. It is essential to keep accurate and detailed documentation and reports, review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. You will be required to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases, estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities. Reporting bugs and errors to development teams, performing thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved, and developing and applying testing processes for new and existing products are key aspects of this role. As a candidate with 4+ years of experience in Manual QA Testing, you must be a highly motivated individual with a positive, can-do approach to problem-solving. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with the ability to function independently with minimal guidance. Collaboration with the team and working as per assigned tasks are also essential requirements. Solid experience in quality assurance and QA automation, familiarity with Behaviour Driven Test development (e.g. Cucumber + Selenium), and proven experience in an Agile software development environment are desired qualifications. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes, as well as experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases, are crucial for this role.
