Senior Manual QA Engineer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Manual QA Engineer with a strong understanding of Scrum methodologies to oversee and execute comprehensive manual testing processes for our software products, ensuring the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for driving innovative test strategies and integrating them into the Agile development cycle. Collaborating with multiple teams, you will contribute to delivering excellence in Quality Assurance for software development and deployment, ultimately enhancing the customer experience for our global customer base. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with Scrum teams to develop, review, and execute detailed test plans and test cases based on product requirements and design specifications. You will conduct thorough manual testing of software applications, including functional, regression, integration, and system testing. Additionally, you will participate in various Scrum ceremonies and work closely with development teams to identify, document, and track defects and issues for resolution. Furthermore, you will refine User Story requirements, provide accurate estimates on scope, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality software. Your role will also involve participating in test case design, test execution, and defect management processes, as well as mentoring and supporting junior QA engineers. To be successful in this role, you must have a strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices in an Agile/Scrum environment. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking abilities, and effective communication and collaboration skills. Proficiency with Jira, Test management tools like Xray, SQL, and experience with various types of testing are essential requirements. Additionally, familiarity with Java-based Selenium automated testing frameworks and knowledge of Java are preferred. This is a full-time position based in Chennai, with working days from Monday to Friday at our office in SKCL Prime. All employees must be eligible to work in India.
