Job Description

Key responsibilities:

1. Business Development & Partner Management

  • Own end-to-end relationship with lending partners (Banks/NBFCs/MFIs) for Credit Life business.
  • Develop and implement partner-specific business plans to achieve sales and revenue targets.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing partnerships and potential new lending partners.
  • Conduct regular partner reviews (monthly/quarterly) to track performance, resolve issues, and enhance engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and regulatory requirements

2. Team Leadership & Sales Management

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Relationship Managers and Key Account Executives.
  • Set individual and team KPIs; monitor daily activity, conversions, and productivity.
  • Support team members in managing high-value relationships and closing large deals.
  • Drive a performance-oriented culture with focus on sales hygiene, pipeline management, and retention.

3. Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth partner servicing.
  • Collaborate with product and pricing teams to design customized Credit Life propositions as per partner needs.
  • Monitor partner-level profitability, persistency, and claims experience.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: MBA / Postgraduate in Sales, Marketing, or Finance.
  • Experience: 8-12 years in Life Insurance, preferably in Group or Credit Life business; at least 3 years in a leadership role managing multiple partners or a regional team.
  • Preferred Background: Experience in Bancassurance / NBFC partnerships, B2B relationship management, or Group Insurance Sales.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong relationship management and stakeholder influencing skills.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to interpret portfolio and profitability reports will be preferred.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Team leadership, coaching, and performance management abilities.
