Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Compliance & Reporting
- Oversee preparation and review of UK corporate tax returns and related filings.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax reporting under UK GAAP / IFRS and regulatory deadlines.
- Manage tax provisions, disclosures, and reconciliations for statutory accounts.
Tax Advisory
- Advise clients or internal stakeholders on complex UK corporate tax issues, including group structuring, M&A, financing, and cross-border matters.
- Interpret and apply evolving UK tax legislation, HMRC guidance, and case law.
Stakeholder Management
- Act as a key point of contact for HMRC inquiries and audits.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, internal finance teams, auditors, and legal advisors.
Planning & Risk Management
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities and risk mitigation strategies.
- Conduct tax risk assessments and ensure adequate documentation and controls.
Team Leadership
- Manage, mentor, and train junior tax professionals.
- Allocate workloads, provide technical guidance, and support career development within the tax team.
Process Improvement
- Support automation and digitization of tax compliance processes.
- Implement best practices in tax compliance and reporting.
