As Director of Technical Program Management (TPM) at SingleStore, you will play a crucial role in driving excellence in release management, developer experience, and cross-functional program delivery across engineering. Your responsibilities will include leading a portfolio of initiatives to ensure predictable, high-quality software releases, enhancing developer productivity, workflows, and tooling, and collaborating with product and engineering leadership to align roadmaps and priorities. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Release Management Leadership:** - Own and scale the release management process, ensuring consistent, predictable, and high-quality software releases aligned with product and business goals. - **Developer Experience Programs:** - Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity, workflows, and tooling, driving adoption of best practices and optimizing engineering systems for efficiency. - **Program & Portfolio Oversight:** - Define and govern a portfolio of cross-functional programs, ensuring measurable business value and outcomes. - **Strategic Alignment:** - Partner with senior engineering and product leaders to align roadmaps, priorities, and dependencies. - **Frameworks & Best Practices:** - Establish scalable planning, governance, and reporting mechanisms to enhance visibility and accountability across engineering programs. - **Leadership & Mentorship:** - Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing program management and release management function, fostering career growth and organizational impact. - **AI & Automation Enablement:** - Champion AI-driven automation and analytics to improve efficiency, predictability, and decision-making. - **Executive Communication:** - Deliver concise updates to executives and stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and opportunities. - **Continuous Improvement:** - Identify bottlenecks, risks, and opportunities for process improvement, driving adoption of innovative practices and tools. **Qualifications Required:** - 10+ years of experience in program/project management, with at least 5+ years in senior leadership roles. - Strong expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and engineering productivity tooling. - Experience managing complex, cross-functional programs and building scalable processes within engineering. - Proficiency in agile methodologies, portfolio planning, and Jira/Atlassian ecosystem administration. - Excellent executive communication and stakeholder management skills. - Track record of balancing strategic vision with hands-on program delivery. In addition, the ideal candidate for this role is expected to have experience in leading large-scale release management initiatives, expertise in developer experience platforms, certifications in Agile or Cloud Architecture, proficiency in Python or SQL, familiarity with AI/ML concepts, and demonstrated success in building globally scalable processes across distributed teams.
