Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Senior Manager to lead our Tax team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have 10-12 years of experience in core finance and payroll functions, with expertise in financial statements, tax audit, and client-facing finance teams. ### Roles and Responsibility Develop and implement accounts strategy for transaction tax offerings targeted at clients within identified industry segments. Lead project work streams from planning through implementation, managing resources and budgets effectively. Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services to existing clients. Manage client deliverables related to R2R, payroll, statutory compliance, and other financial services. Collaborate with the EY markets and business development team to develop tailored proposals and draft content for technical and financial proposals. Review Fixed Assets Register and GST workings/reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. ### Job Requirements Qualified Chartered Accountant with 10-12 years of experience in core finance and payroll functions. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax audit procedures. Experience in managing client-facing finance teams, preferably in a consulting organization or well-diversified industry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders. Practical approach to solving issues and complex problems, delivering insightful and practical solutions. Ability to work collaboratively across multiple client departments while following commercial and legal requirements. Skills in GCR, ACR, TAX, and Transaction Services. Good business knowledge, local market intelligence, and relationships. Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
