Job Description

Develop and implement corporate-wide safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Oversee the execution of safety programs, training, and initiatives across different business units.
Monitor and report on safety performance metrics, such as accident rates and compliance with OSHA regulations.
Lead investigations into safety incidents, accidents, and near-misses, providing recommendations for corrective actions.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations, standards, and guidelines.
Collaborate with other departments, including HR, facilities, and operations, to improve safety protocols.
Prepare and maintain safety documentation and reports for leadership and regulatory bodies.
Strong understanding of safety laws, regulations, and compliance standards.
Leadership and communication skills for training and influencing employee behavior.
Analytical skills for investigating accidents and determining root causes
Support the implementation of corporate safety programs and policies.
Assist with hazard analysis and risk assessments for various work operations.
Conduct safety audits and inspections, reporting findings and tracking corrective actions.
Maintain records of safety activities, including inspections, training, and incident reports.
Monitor safety equipment and supplies, ensuring proper maintenance and availability.
Support safety awareness campaigns and help foster a culture of safety within the organization.
Attention to Detail:
Identifying hazards and ensuring compliance with safety standards requires thoroughness.
Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate safety protocols effectively, both in writing and verbally.
Problem-Solving:
Addressing issues that arise from safety incidents and proactively preventing accidents.
