Senior Manager - Projects

Role Overview:

The Senior Manager Project Execution will be responsible for end-to-end planning, execution, and handover of renewable energy projects (solar/others). This role requires expertise in project management, budgeting, technical supervision, vendor coordination, and stakeholder management, ensuring timely and high-quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Budgeting:

Prepare detailed project execution plans and yearly budgets, including resource allocation and cost forecasting for efficient execution.

Site Assessment & Design Optimization:

Conduct site visits to assess on-ground conditions and recommend design modifications to suit geographical requirements.

Arrange and coordinate technical assessments like soil tests, load tests, and ERT for design validation.

Technical Coordination:

Collaborate with the Engineering team for approval of Civil & Electrical drawings, providing co-approvals as required for smooth progress.

Material Management:

Prepare detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) ensuring timely procurement and delivery of materials to sites, maintaining inventory records.

Resource Allocation:

Plan and allocate required manpower, vendors, contractors, machinery, and security in line with project specifications and timelines.

Site Operations Management:

Oversee site safety, security, material reconciliation, and storage management, ensuring compliance with HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) policies.

Issue Resolution:

Address Right of Way (ROW) challenges and other execution-related obstacles in coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Project Execution & Quality Assurance:

Supervise the entire execution process, ensuring adherence to quality standards and project schedules.

Handover & Commissioning:

Lead the Handover (HOTO) process, coordinating with relevant teams for successful plant charging and commissioning.

Cost Control & Optimization:

Stakeholder & Vendor Management:

Liaise with investors, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth coordination and execution of project milestones.

Team Development & Leadership:

Conduct technical interviews, mentor junior engineers, and build a skilled execution team aligned with project and organizational goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical) | MBA preferred (optional)
• Additional certifications in Project Management is a plus.

Experience & Skills:

• 8–12 years (preferably in Renewable Energy/Solar EPC)
• Proven track record in handling EPC utility-scale projects, IPP models, and rooftop solar markets.
• Strong expertise in execution & project management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Competencies:

• Strong project planning, budgeting, and execution skills
• Technical knowledge of solar EPC (preferred) or infrastructure projects
• Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera/AutoCAD/ERP systems (optional but preferred)
