How You'll Make an Impact

Architectural & Platform Leadership

• Guide the architectural evolution

  of our event-driven microservices for ordering, payments, reconciliation, and partner integrations .

• Architect systems for financial accuracy

  and auditability, using patterns like CQRS, event sourcing, and ledger-based models .

• Cultivate a thriving, modern API ecosystem

  (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), establishing best practices for schema governance and backward compatibility .

• Orchestrate the real-time data and event streams

  that are foundational to fraud detection, recommendations, and operational analytics .

Building for Scale & Reliability

• Uphold our commitment to five-nines reliability

  for our most mission-critical systems .

• Thoughtfully address complex challenges

  in concurrency, partitioning, and consistency across distributed services .

• Implement sophisticated fault-tolerance strategies

  such as circuit breakers, idempotency, and backpressure handlingto ensure system resilience under extreme load .

• Champion and embed modern SRE practices

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Significant experience (e.g., 10+ years)

  in backend or platform engineering, including a formal leadership role managing high-performing teams.

• Deep understanding of distributed systems principles

  AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS/SNS, API Gateway; expertise with both relational & NoSQL databases , including schema design & optimisation .

• Event-Driven Systems:

• Architecture & APIs:

• Leadership & Domain:

  A passion for scalable architecture design, fostering cross-team alignment , and mentoring ; experience in commerce, payments, or other high-scale transaction systems .
