Role & responsibilities

Sr. Manager Operations

Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire operations of the Machining unit having

  CNC machines

  as well as Conventional Machines.
• Experience in

  Steel casting machining

• Responsible for all

  SPC and QMS protocols

• Should be able to guide the team on

  Jigs and fixtures

  .
• Should be conversant with

  IATF standards and compliance requirements

  .
• Responsible for proper production planning control activities.
• Responsible for the QA aspect of products in all stages of Production.
• Will be responsible for the

  Design, development and process engineering of the products

• Responsible for all purchase of materials, bought out items for production as per customer orders.
• Must be clear of problem-solving techniques like,

  Why, Why analysis/ 8D problem

  Solving method etc.
• Will be responsible for all preventive,

  scheduled and operational maintenance of the machines, utilities in the factory

• Ensures that proper sales orders are in pipeline and ensure timely supplies are done to the customers
• Ensure proper inventory and stores management is in place for smooth operations and timely supplies.

Preferred candidate profile

Ideal Candidate:

• Male candidates with

  BE Mechanical, age group 45 to 50 years

  , with around 20 years of experience in managing the operations of a

  CNC Machine shop including CNC Programming

• Should have experience in Machining auto components

  Steel Casting products

  – Axles, Bonnet Covers, End Covers, Transmission case etc.
• Should be conversant with

  IATF and ISO standards

  and compliance management
• Should have experience managing the entire operations of the machine shop –

  PPC, Quality Assurance, Design, Development and process engineering

• Experience

  in Lean production techniques a must

  .
• Should have good experience in

  CNC machine setting and processing

• Should have good knowledge of Jigs and Fixtures
• Good knowledge of

  SPC and QMS

• Should be conversant with all

  legal and statutory compliance required to run the unit.

• Experience in

  machining of steel casting

  products a must.
• Good knowledge of Tamil and willing to work out of Coimbatore.
• Should have excellent communication skills in English and Tamil. Knowledge of Hindi – added advantage. Must have good communication skill in both oral and written, to handle overseas customers. Basically, good command in English communication.
