Job Description

Role Overview: As a candidate for the position, your primary responsibility will be to ensure compliance with NPI Environmental Management PAT requirements, covering regulatory and sustainability targets such as CO2 evaluation & reduction, material circularity topics. You will play a crucial role in confirming compliance with global environmental regulations and standards for vehicle-related products, including ELV, EPR, REACH, POP, BRS Conventions, GADSL, and battery-specific directives. Your efforts will be instrumental in identifying product environmental regulatory requirements, mitigating compliance risks, and ultimately achieving sustainability-related targets in the PAT book. Key Responsibilities: - Directly interface with supplier representatives to collect IMDS / REACH/ ELV declarations and ensure compliance with Hazardous materials environmental regulations - Create, analyze, and modify Material Data Sheets (MDS) - Manage whole vehicle type approval for environmental management and work towards achieving sustainability PAT targets for individual programs - Stay updated on upcoming and existing environmental product regulations, interpret regulated hazardous chemicals, and ensure compliance for vehicle-related products - Analyze changes in legislation and regulated hazardous substances, assess their impact on products and supply chains, and ensure product compliance with global environmental standards throughout the product lifecycle - Conduct awareness sessions with suppliers on regulatory requirements and develop IT compliance modules to meet environmental attributes - Have a basic understanding of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and perform LCA for complete vehicles, assemblies, and components to evaluate environmental impact and conduct hot-spot analysis - Understand Circular Economy principles and track, analyze, and evaluate recycled content at each part/assembly to estimate environmental impact reduction - Interpret ESG ratings, reports, SBT (Science-based targets), and Scope 1, 2 & 3 Qualification Required: - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering with at least 5 years of experience in product sustainability - Strong technical background with a thorough understanding of vehicle-related product regulations - Experience in handling LCA projects, evaluating environmental impacts, and material circularity Additional Company Details: (Omitted as there are no additional details mentioned in the provided job description),
