Senior Manager, Mainframe Innovation Engineering

As a Senior Manager, Mainframe Innovation Engineering, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, build, testing, and lifecycle of integrated mainframe and hybrid cloud managed offerings. Leading a global team of engineers and developers, your role involves delivering high-quality, scalable, and secure applications and managed services that leverage modern, cloud-connected technologies. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide inspiration and direction for multiple engineers developing mainframe-related solutions that integrate with non-mainframe capabilities - Stay updated on the latest trends and innovations in mainframe and mainframe-connected technology use cases - Provide architectural thought leadership, evaluating technology choices and approaches to ensure alignment with product requirements - Drive the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable solutions in line with product needs - Manage the engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation - Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and policies for development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle - Ensure the reliability, availability, security, and scalability of the offerings through DevOps and automation - Communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and customers on initiatives and solutions **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - Minimum 10 years of experience in mainframe engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial or leadership role - Expert knowledge of mainframe architectures, technologies, configurations, and best practices - Strong understanding of mainframe system telemetry outputs and integration patterns - Excellent communication, critical-thinking, collaboration, and analytical problem-solving skills - Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and deadlines - Proven track record of engineering mainframe platforms or digital offerings meeting customer needs at scale - Understanding of security, compliance, and governance frameworks and standards related to the mainframe - Certifications in mainframe and/or cloud technologies are a plus - Hands-on experience with technologies like Snowflake, AWS, Azure, containers, Ansible are advantageous (Note: Shift Timings - 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST),
