Senior Manager, Mainframe Innovation Engineering

As a Senior Manager, Mainframe and Hybrid Platform Engineering at Ensono, your role is crucial in overseeing the design, build, testing, and lifecycle of integrated mainframe and hybrid cloud offerings. You will lead a global team of engineers and developers to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure applications and managed services leveraging modern cloud-connected technologies. Collaboration with Product Managers, business stakeholders, Operations, and external partners is essential to align engineering efforts with the overall Product Management vision, roadmap, and priorities. **Responsibilities:** - Manage the mainframe and hybrid platform engineering team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation - Deliver engineering builds to support the product roadmap ensuring alignment with client experience and acceptance criteria - Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and policies for development, testing, deployment, and lifecycle - Ensure reliability, availability, security, and scalability using DevOps and automation - Lead evaluation and testing of mainframe and hybrid platform technologies to inform product roadmap and scoping - Stay updated on trends in mainframe and hybrid cloud domains, identifying opportunities for innovation - Communicate effectively with senior management, peers, and customers on initiatives, issues, and solutions **Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field - Minimum 10 years of mainframe engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role - Expert knowledge of mainframe architectures, technologies, configurations, and best practices - Strong skills in mainframe and distributed programming languages (e.g., COBOL, JCL, Java, Python, REXX, C#) and understanding of mainframe system telemetry outputs - Excellent communication, collaboration, analytical problem-solving, and prioritization skills - Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and deadlines - Proven track record of engineering service offerings meeting customer needs at scale - Understanding of security, compliance, and governance frameworks and standards related to the mainframe - Certifications in mainframe and/or cloud technologies are advantageous - Hands-on experience with technologies like Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMware, Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible, Terraform is a plus Please note the shift timings for this position are 1:30 PM to 10:30 PM IST.,
