Job Description

Team Leadership Development: Foster a motivating environment, coach team members, and build a high-performing editorial team to drive article output growth, enhance author experience, and support journal quality and retention.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Align CEET performance with Subject Team goals and collaborate with peers/colleagues/management within and beyond CEET to ensure operational and strategic alignment.
Training Mentorship: Coordinate and manage onboarding and training across the team, ensuring consistent editorial standards and driving operational excellence.
Innovation Systems Improvement: Personally handle submitted manuscripts to a final editorial decision to remain up to date with research trends and to contribute to editorial workflow enhancements.

What We Are Looking For:

Proven experience as a handling editor with deep subject matter expertise in one of the Life Sciences (MD/PhD or equivalent).
Strong team management skills, including performance reviews, coaching, and recruitment.
Ability to analyze performance data, identify trends, and report risks or blockers.
Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills across departments.
Strategic mindset with the ability to align team goals with broader publishing objectives
