Role Overview: As an AWS Architect at Caylent, you will play a dual-capacity role where you will be responsible for designing and steering the cloud architecture strategy, driving execution, and managing a team of architects/engineers. Your role will encompass being a technical visionary and a manager who can mentor, coordinate, make trade-off decisions, and ensure delivery excellence. Beyond technical excellence, you will be instrumental in anchoring BOTs venture-class GDC model for Caylent. Key Responsibilities: - Define, design, and validate scalable, secure, high-performance cloud architectures on AWS to meet business needs. - Evaluate existing infrastructure, identify gaps, and propose improvements and migrations to AWS. - Establish architectural standards, best practices, and guardrails (security, cost, availability, performance). - Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) implementations, prototyping, and validate new AWS services for use. - Oversee selection of tools, frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, CDK. - Recruit, mentor, and manage a team of cloud architects and engineers. - Define team goals, performance metrics, and growth plans. - Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and architectural thinking. - Define cloud governance policies: IAM, resource tagging, cost controls, compliance, and security. - Monitor and optimize the cost, utilization, and performance of AWS services. - Interact with senior leadership, product owners, and business stakeholders to align cloud strategy with business goals. - Stay informed about AWS service updates & roadmap; assess how they can benefit your organization. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. - Extensive hands-on experience (8+ years) designing and implementing cloud solutions, especially on AWS. - Proven experience in a leadership or technical management role managing architects, engineers. - Deep knowledge of AWS core services such as EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, etc. - Experience in infrastructure as code using Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK, or similar. - Strong understanding of security, networking, identity, and access management in AWS. - Solid experience with automation, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices. - Excellent problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder-management skills. - AWS Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer. - Experience in microservices, event-driven architectures, serverless, and containers. - Experience with hybrid cloud, multi-cloud, or migration projects. - Experience in compliance frameworks relevant to your domain (e.g., GDPR, PCI, HIPAA). - Familiarity with performance tuning, cost optimization, and monitoring/observability tooling. - Experience in a start-up or fast-moving product environment. - Published talks, blogs, or community contributions in the cloud/architecture domain. - Consultancy/advisory experience. - Willingness to work flexible shifts to support customers in different time zones.
