Senior Legal Manager

You will be working at Zopper, a series D-funded startup in the InsurTech space. The main goal of the company is to enable large B2C businesses to provide insurance to their customers. This is achieved by seamlessly combining insurance and technology to offer end-to-end solutions to our Business partners. As per the specific requirements of the Business partners, customized insurance plans are created through partnerships with Insurance companies. These customized Insurance plans are then integrated with the tech systems of the Business partners by developing tailored APIs on our SAAS platform. The Sales enablement team at Zopper, a significant feet-on-street team, facilitates the final sale of insurance by providing training and support to the sales teams of our Business Partners. Your roles and responsibilities will include: CONTRACT DRAFTING, REVIEW AND NEGOTIATION - Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating high-value contracts such as MSAs, NDAs, and other agreements. - Assessing contractual risks and ensuring that the company is not exposed to unreasonable liabilities. LEGAL COMPLIANCE - Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. - Drafting and enforcing internal policies. - Acting as the regulatory liaison and ensuring alignment with regulatory bodies. COMPANY SECRETARIAL COMPLIANCES - Ensuring compliance with the Companies Act, 2013, and related legislation. - Managing board meetings, ROC compliances, and FEMA compliances. - Upholding corporate governance standards. Coordination with investors for fulfilling their routine and event-based requirements will also be part of your responsibilities. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND LITIGATION MANAGEMENT - Managing and resolving disputes through negotiation or litigation. - Coordinating with external counsels and representing the company before judicial authorities.,
