Senior Legal Associate - Arbitration

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Legal Associate - Arbitration based in Mumbai.

The Senior Legal Associate will be responsible for handling arbitration cases, drafting and preparing legal documents, conducting legal research, analyzing legal issues, and representing clients in arbitration proceedings. The role also involves coordinating with clients, providing legal advice, and ensuring that all legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively.

Experience Required: 5-6 Years (PQE) **Looking for an immediate joiner**

Responsiblities:

• Lead and manage arbitration cases from initiation to resolution, including both ad hoc and institutional arbitrations.
• Draft pleadings, statements of claim and defence, witness statements, and post-hearing submissions.
• Appear before arbitral tribunals and courts (as required) to argue interim applications or enforcement actions.
• Advise clients on arbitration clauses, strategies, and risk management during commercial negotiations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and external counsels, experts, and tribunal-appointed professionals.
• Mentor junior associates in case preparation, research, and client communication.

Key Requirements

• LLB or equivalent qualification from a recognized university; postgraduate specialization in arbitration or commercial litigation preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in arbitration proceedings.
• Strong knowledge of Indian Arbitration and Conciliation Act, UNCITRAL model law, and relevant international rules (SIAC, ICC, LCIA).
• Outstanding legal writing, oral advocacy, and analytical thinking.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and meet tight deadlines with precision.
