Job Description

Role Overview: As a User Researcher at Cvent, you will play a crucial role in planning and conducting evaluative and generative research to build deep user understanding and empathy for specified products or program areas. You will collaborate cross-functionally to synthesize information, define success metrics, and use research findings to support product innovation. Additionally, you will apply your expertise in research methodologies and human factors to contribute to product and service design in an iterative development environment. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and conduct evaluative research such as card sort, tree testing, usability, and heuristics evaluations - Support generative research efforts including contextual inquiry, ethnography, and data mining - Synthesize and communicate research findings to support decision-making and drive innovation - Create testable hypotheses and utilize research insights to enhance Cvent's products - Collaborate with various teams including design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales to address research questions - Independently and collaboratively execute research projects across product or program areas - Perform qualitative data analysis, support coding efforts, and conduct statistical analyses - Design and execute surveys, as well as undertake secondary research scans and comparative/competitive analysis - Contribute to the evolution of User Research practice within a small team environment Qualifications Required: - Bachelors and/or masters degree in user experience, design, research, business, or related fields - 4 to 19 years of experience in conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products - Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices - Familiarity with the hospitality industry and experience with enterprise software is a plus - Additional experience in quantitative survey programming, UX research for Meeting/Event Planners, mobile app/web development, usability lab management, product globalization research, and baseline measurement system management would be advantageous.
