Job Description

Your Experience and Skills Include:

A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
58 years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering.
Strong expertise in Java or a similar backend language (e.g., Kotlin, Python), with a willingness to adopt our tech stack.
Working knowledge of frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript is a plus.
Solid understanding of API design principles, RESTful services, and system-level architecture.
Hands-on experience with MySQL (or equivalent RDBMS), including data modelling and performance optimization.
Familiarity with scalable microservices architectures and containerized environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (preferred: AWS CDK or similar).
Strong grasp of software security, authentication, and authorization best practices.
Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
Comfortable operating in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly collaborative startup environment.
A mindset of ownership, accountability, and a passion for solving hard problems that matter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, RDS, S3, etc.
Familiarity with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, CloudWatch).
Exposure to machine learning workflows or data pipeline architectures (a plus, not required).
Prior experience working in early-stage startups or education/EdTech is a plus.
