Senior Instrumentation Engineer

Job Title: Lead Instrumentation Engineer Location: Hyderabad Hitech City (Onsite Only – No WFH) Employment Type: Permanent Experience Required: 10 to 15 Years Education: BE/B.Tech in Instrumentation/Electrical or related fields Software Skills: Mandatory: AutoCAD, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Added Advantage: SPI (SmartPlant Instrumentation), E3D, SP3D, Navisworks Job Description: We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Instrumentation Engineer to manage and execute instrumentation engineering activities for various industrial projects. The ideal candidate should possess strong design expertise, leadership qualities, and client interfacing skills. Key Responsibilities: Review project specifications, design basis, and instrumentation standards Understand and work with P&IDs Prepare and review: Instrument lists , I/O lists , and Cable lists Cable Schedules , Hook-up Drawings , MTO , and BOM Logic Diagrams , Wiring Diagrams , Interconnection Diagrams Cable Tray Layouts , Tubing Layouts , Location Layouts , Loop Drawings , Cable Block Diagrams Datasheets , Vendor Drawings , and Inspection Documents Develop typical E&I installation drawings for fabrication Interface with other disciplines and participate in 3D model reviews Evaluate bids and assist in vendor selection Proficiency in AutoCAD for Instrument Location Plans and Fire & Gas detection layouts Work with SmartPlant INTools and 3D modeling tools (SP3D, E3D) Ensure quality of deliverables through thorough checking and team guidance Prepare high-level documents and checklists Allocate tasks, mentor junior engineers, and ensure timely project delivery Communicate effectively with multi-national/national clients Desired Candidate Profile: Strong understanding of industrial instrumentation standards and practices Proven leadership in managing small to mid-sized engineering teams Strong documentation, presentation, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively and independently with a quality-first mindset
