Job Description

As a Senior Infrastructure Architect specializing in Middleware Technologies at Mastercard, you will play a crucial role in the Shared Components Infrastructure Design Engineering team. Your primary responsibilities will involve solving problems, planning and designing system footprints, and leading the organization in defining standards and best practices. Your role as an Infrastructure Design Platform Architect will require you to analyze and design infrastructure frameworks that align with Mastercard's operational standards and engineering principles. Working closely with application teams and key stakeholders, you will ensure that the infrastructure and application architecture meet Mastercard's security, scalability, reliability, and availability standards. If you are passionate about systems architecture, ensuring high-level requirements are met, building mission-critical middleware infrastructure, and delivering quality results, we are looking for someone like you to join our team. Key responsibilities in this role include gathering requirements, conducting infrastructural analysis, producing robust designs, and ensuring compliance with approved Mastercard technologies and security policies. You will collaborate with peers, engineers, and application teams to meet high-level requirements and generate technical documentation to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned. Additionally, you will be responsible for implementing, managing, and supporting application infrastructure components, resolving operational issues, defining new standards, researching new technologies, and contributing to various projects within the organization. To excel in this role, you should have 6-9 years of experience in technology, with advanced knowledge of web application architecture, Java Virtual Machine, load balancers, network principles, middleware technologies, database technologies, cloud technologies, and non-functional requirements. Proficiency in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture principles and Network Micro-segmentation will be beneficial. Your success will also depend on your leadership skills, attention to detail, customer-centric approach, strong communication abilities, multitasking capabilities, quick learning agility, and collaborative mindset. Being able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and providing exceptional customer service will be essential in this role.
