Job Description

Buff Institute of Design is looking for a Senior Graphic Design Mentor who is passionate about teaching, design innovation, and the future of AI-driven creativity. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on industry knowledge, teaching experience, and the ability to mentor students using modern design workflows and AI tools.

Key Responsibilities

* Mentor and train students in Graphic Design fundamentals to advanced industry practices

* Teach branding, visual identity, social media creatives, marketing & ad designs

* Guide students on real-time projects, portfolios, and case studies

* Introduce and train students on AI-assisted design workflows

* Stay updated with current design trends, tools, and technologies

* Review student work and provide constructive feedback

* Prepare students for internships, placements, and freelance careers

* Collaborate with the academic team to improve course curriculum

Required Skills & Expertise

Core Design Skills

* Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

* Strong understanding of Typography, Color Theory, Layouts & Branding

* Social Media Design (Instagram, Ads, YouTube thumbnails, Creatives)

* Print & Digital Design knowledge

Trending & Industry Skills

* Brand Identity & Design Systems

* UI Design basics (Figma familiarity is a plus)

* Motion Graphics basics (After Effects – optional but preferred)

* Portfolio-driven teaching approach

AI Tools Knowledge (Must-Have)

* Adobe Firefly

* Midjourney / DALL·E

* Canva AI tools

* ChatGPT for design ideation & content support

* AI-based image enhancement & creative automation tools

* Understanding of how AI integrates into modern design workflows

Teaching & Mentorship Skills

* Prior experience in design education, training institutes, or colleges

* Ability to explain complex concepts in a simple, practical manner

* Passion for mentoring and skill development

* Strong communication and presentation skills

Qualifications

* Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Graphic Design / Visual Communication / Related field

* 3–5 years of experience in design education or industry with mentoring exposure

* Strong portfolio showcasing design and branding work
