Senior Functional Consultant

Title: JD - Senior Functional Consultant Job Title: Senior Functional Consultant Location: Bangalore Department: Reports To: Job Overview: Senior Functional Consultant drives the functional aspects of client projects, providing expert guidance on business processes, solution design, and system implementation. They understand the product capabilities and are able to identify the gaps which are the basis for customisation in case of Implementation Projects. The Senior Functional Consultant will work closely with stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to deliver customized solutions that meet the business objectives. This role requires strong communication skills, product knowledge and an understanding of industry best practices. Key Responsibilities: 1. Client Engagement & Requirement Analysis: Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding functional requirements. Run workshops with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements. Ensure a thorough understanding of client needs and translate them into clear functional specications. 2. Solution Design & Implementation: Lead the design and conguration of business solutions that meet client needs, ensuring alignment with business objectives, leveraging product capabilities ( in case of implementation projects ) and addressing gaps. 3. Leadership & Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior consultants. Ensure that the teams work aligns with project goals, timelines, and quality standards. 4. Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, understanding their needs and oering proactive solutions. Communicate regularly with clients to provide updates on project progress and gather feedback. Work with Project Manager to manage expectations and resolve issues promptly to maintain client satisfaction. 5. Testing & Quality Assurance: Prepare/Guide Preparation of test plans and facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT). Ensure that functional specications are properly tested, validated, and meet quality standards. Provide support during post-implementation phases, including troubleshooting and resolving issues. 6. Project Management Support: Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. Assist in the development of project timelines, resource plans, and risk assessments. Help dene project milestones and monitor progress to ensure timely delivery of functional deliverables. 7. Training & Documentation: Develop and deliver training materials to clients and end users, ensuring they are well-equipped to use the implemented system. Create and maintain comprehensive functional documentation, including user manuals, process ows, and system congurations. 8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to provide innovative solutions to clients. Continuously assess business processes and recommend improvements for eciency and eectiveness. 9. Presales/Marketing Assist in new engagements, by providing demos, estimates and helping in high level solutioning and preparation of proposals. Enable Promantia branding by providing relevant content in the domain or around the product. 10. Learning & Skill Enhancement: Improve client-facing skills by taking part in more client meetings and presentations. Enhance problem-solving skills by working on complex issues or scenarios within the ERP system. Participate in leadership development opportunities, mentoring junior consultants or working with cross-functional teams. Work on conict resolution, negotiation, and managing client expectations eectively. Attend webinars, workshops, and industry conferences. Master new ERP functionalities and features through self-paced courses.
