Senior Financial Analyst

As a Senior in EY GDS - Assurance FAAS, your role involves working closely with FAAS Assistant Managers, Managers, and Senior Managers on client engagements across Americas and EMEIA. You will have the opportunity to provide accounting and advisory services, including Accounting and regulatory support for GAAP Conversion and implementation, IPO and other public offering assistance, transaction accounting, and financial reporting assistance. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage quality of service delivery - Execute FAAS solutions using the global service delivery framework - Provide Accounting and PMO support for transactions such as purchase price accounting, divestiture/carve-out accounting, IPOs, SPACs, and/or Fresh start (Bankruptcy) accounting - Prepare financial statements/MD&A - Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork - Identify engagement and client service issues and research and benchmark client data to industry data - Apply independent and objective professional judgment in applying accounting standards to meet engagement expectations - Receive direction from the Manager and Senior Managers **Skills and Attributes for Success:** - Good understanding of IFRS/US/UK GAAP - Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills - Ability and comfort level in researching client inquiries and emerging issues - Flexibility and willingness to travel on short notice - Working experience in relation to various services/solutions such as Transaction accounting and reporting, GAAP conversions, drafting accounting policies, technical accounting research, consolidation support, financial statement close process support, audit remediation, and benchmarking services **Qualifications Required:** - Chartered Accountant (CA), CPA (US), or ACCA (UK) - 2-5 years (post qualification) in Assurance, including at least 1 year of Financial Accounting and Advisory experience - Candidates with prior Big4 experience would be an added advantage You will be part of EY's mission to build a better working world, helping to create long-term value for clients, people, and society while building trust in the capital markets.
