Senior Finance Executive

We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Candidate to manage Accounts Payable, ensure bill verification and statutory compliance, and support the finance team in maintaining accurate and timely books of accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong grasp of GST and Income Tax laws, excellent reconciliation and Excel skills, and a drive for process improvement and financial integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable & Vendor Management

• Verify and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, approval hierarchy, and adherence to company policies.

• Ensure proper classification of expenses and input tax credits in line with accounting standards and GST law.

• Monitor AP ageing and ensure timely payment cycles to vendors.

• Maintain vendor master data and ensure all compliance documents (PAN, GSTIN, etc.) are up to date.

• Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for invoice validation and dispute resolution. Compliance & Taxation

• Ensure invoices are compliant with GST and Income Tax regulations, including correct HSN/SAC codes, invoice formats, and TDS deductions. • Prepare and assist in GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, and GSTR-9 reconciliations, as well as TDS filings and reconciliations.

• Support audit requirements (statutory, internal, and tax audits) with proper documentation and schedules.

• Stay updated with amendments in GST and Income Tax laws and implement necessary changes in processes. Reconciliations & Financial Control • Perform periodic vendor, GR/IR, input credit, and bank reconciliations.

• Track and report outstanding advances and liabilities accurately. • Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring correctness of expense provisions.

• Identify and resolve reconciliation mismatches proactively. Reporting & Analytical Support

• Prepare and analyse AP and expense reports for management. • Contribute to cash flow forecasting by accurately projecting payable obligations.

• Support in preparing MIS reports related to AP, tax compliance, and vendor spends.

• Suggest improvements in reporting templates to provide better financial insights. Excel & System Efficiency

• Use advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, conditional formulas) for reconciliations and reporting.

• Support implementation of process automation and ERP optimization. • Maintain proper digital documentation for audit trail and data integrity. Finance Excellence & Team Collaboration

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability in deliverables.

• Work closely with cross-functional teams (operations, procurement, HR) to ensure smooth financial processes.

• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and internal control.

• Exhibit high ethical standards, confidentiality, and compliance discipline.

Requirements:

• Education: B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / Semi-qualified CA preferred. • Experience: 25 years of experience in Accounts Payable, General Accounting, or Compliance.

• Skills: o Sound understanding of GST, TDS, and accounting principles (IND AS). o Strong Excel proficiency and experience with accounting ERPs (Tally, SAP, Zoho, etc.). o Excellent communication and coordination skills. o Analytical mindset with attention to accuracy and timelines. o Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
