Role & responsibilities

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Fixed Assets and General Ledger (GL) Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting and reporting of fixed assets, performing general ledger reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with the internal policies. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Fixed Assets Accounting:

• Maintain the fixed asset register, including asset additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation.
• Ensure proper capitalization of fixed assets in line with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
• Conduct periodic physical asset verification and reconcile with the fixed asset register.
• Review and process asset-related transactions and ensure timely month-end closing of fixed asset accounts.

Excel & Reporting:

• Utilize Excel skills to manage large datasets and prepare reports.
• Automate and streamline reporting processes using Excel tools and functions.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing detailed reconciliations and reports.
