Job Description

Product costing and sku level cost reduction of the Products. Cost Accountant will be responsible for tracking , reporting on Variances on account of Time, Yields , wastages , Abosrption ( under/over) , Material Price variance (Inflation), batch costing, Skuwise Standards cost calculations, monitoring of Standard and actual costs, Latest Estimates for Product costings, Budgeting , Validation of BOM costing , NPD costings, Ensuring ERP entiries related to costings are accurate and Reconciliations of costing records with Financials.

Key Responsibilities Summary:

Costing & Standards Management

Finalize and update time/yield standards and batch costing.
Maintain accurate product costing using approved budgets and BOMs.

Variance & Cost Analysis

Weekly reports on time, yield, and cost variances.
Analyze SKU-level cost trends and material inflation.

Budgeting & Forecasting

Lead plant cost budgeting and latest estimates (LE).
Track actuals vs. budgets and provide insights.

ERP & Costing System Improvements

Implement revised costing in ERP (Navision/SAP).
Ensure real-time batch costing and ERP entry accuracy.

Inventory & Material Management

Reconcile RM/PM quantities and manage slow/non-moving inventory.
Monitor and report wastage, losses, and abnormal events.

New Product Costing

Calculate COGS for new products using BOM and standards.

Compliance & Reporting

Maintain cost accounting records per audit guidelines.
Provide ABC cost classification for pricing and budgeting.

Overhead Allocation

Allocate under/over absorbed overheads and revise costing accordingly.
