Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Handle end-to-end procurement of consumables required for mechanical and electrical maintenance, tooling, packaging, fuel, and other non-steel store items
Prepare weekly/monthly procurement schedules, maintain minimum stock levels, and manage inventory using ABC analysis to ensure material availability and control consumption
Identify and develop alternate vendors/products, conduct vendor audits and evaluations, and maintain strong supplier relationships
Drive cost-reduction initiatives, highlight excess consumption, and control expenses in line with the approved budget
Ensure adherence to EOHS, IATF, QMS, and financial audit requirements; maintain documented work instructions and support smooth internal audit closures
Prepare and submit procurement-related MIS reports, gate passes (returnable/non-returnable), and other relevant documentation accurately and on time
Collaborate with user departments to ensure timely supply of materials, resolve issues, and issue materials as per approved requests (move order slips)
Coordinate with CHAs for import consignments, manage inspection of incoming materials, and handle rejected material returns to suppliers
Execute and manage service provider agreements and ensure alignment with company procurement policies
Oversee day-to-day store activities, allocate tasks to store staff, and ensure safe working conditions and smooth operations
