Design, develop, and execute comprehensive ETL test cases and scenarios to validate data transformation, migration, and integration processes.
Perform data validation between source and target systems to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Verify ETL workflows, transformations, mappings, and scripts for accuracy and performance.
Strong hands-on experience in ETL tools such as Informatica, Talend, SSIS, or DataStage.
Proficiency in SQL and database technologies (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts, data modelling, and OLAP/OLTP systems.
Identify, document, and track defects in the ETL processes using defect management tools.
Work closely with development and data engineering teams to resolve issues promptly.
Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to gather and understand requirements.
Support UAT and end-to-end testing efforts by coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Generate and maintain detailed testing reports, including defect logs, execution results, and performance metrics.
Communicate testing progress, risks, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
Experience with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, HP ALM, or equivalent.
Exposure to automation tools/frameworks for ETL testing is a plus.
Ability to analyse and troubleshoot performance issues in ETL processes.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
