Senior Engineer - Transport Economist

As a Transport Economist with experience in Spreadsheet Modeling, Report Writing, Appraisal, Value for Money assessment, and Communication Skills, you will be responsible for undertaking and managing the appraisal of transport schemes to contribute to the business case. Your role will involve training and mentoring junior staff on transport appraisal techniques, business case development, and the application of basic concepts. Quality checks of data and outputs, as well as research and review of design options for the business case/appraisal, will also be part of your responsibilities. You will support Project Managers to ensure tasks are completed on time and to the expected standards. Taking ownership of assigned tasks and proactively searching for solutions when needed is crucial. Leading the development of tools and processes, as well as contributing to the financial/commercial management of projects, will be key aspects of your role.
