Senior Engineer

Role Overview: As a Piling Engineer, you will play a crucial role in planning and executing various piling works such as bored piles, driven piles, CFA, and micropiles according to project specifications and drawings. Your responsibilities will include supervising site preparation, pile positioning, rig setup, and concrete pouring. You will also review and approve method statements, risk assessments, and lifting plans for piling operations. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate with site teams, equipment suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure smooth piling operations. - Collaborate with geotechnical and structural engineers to address technical queries or design changes while ensuring alignment with the overall construction schedule. - Monitor pile installation to ensure compliance with technical standards such as depth, verticality, and concrete integrity. - Review and verify pile test results, conduct quality checks, and ensure adherence to project specifications, codes, and client requirements. - Enforce safety practices on-site, conduct toolbox talks, and identify and mitigate hazards during piling activities. - Document and report progress, including maintaining daily site reports, preparing progress reports, and reporting any delays or corrective actions to project management. - Oversee the proper functioning and maintenance of piling rigs and associated equipment, coordinate material deliveries, and monitor material wastage on-site. - Supervise the piling team, train junior engineers, and evaluate subcontractor performance. - Interact with clients, consultants, and main contractors, attend coordination meetings, respond to inspections and audits, and assist in obtaining approvals for method statements and work inspections. Qualification Required: - Degree in Civil Engineering or related field. - Proven experience in piling works and site supervision. - Strong knowledge of technical standards and construction practices. - Excellent communication and coordination skills. - Health, safety, and environmental compliance certifications are a plus.
