We are looking for a SeniorPython Backend Engineer with strong experience in architecture and teamleadership. You will be responsible for designing and building scalable backendsystems, REST APIs, and serverless functions using Python in Azure or AWS environments.In addition to development responsibilities, this role includes leading backenddevelopment teams, defining feature-level architecture, and ensuring bestpractices in implementation and deployment.

Youll collaborate withcross-functional teams and product stakeholders to design robust, secure, andscalable systems and guide the development team in translating architectureinto working code.

Responsibilities

-Leadthe design and architecture of backend solutions for new features andlarge-scale system components.

-Providetechnical leadership to backend teams, conducting design reviews, mentoringdevelopers, and enforcing engineering best practices.

-Deliverhigh-quality, maintainable, and testable software with minimal supervision.

-Designand implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant backend services.

-Collaboratewith front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with backend logic.

-Ensureend-to-end security, scalability, and data protection.

-Buildand integrate with cloud-native services in Azure and/or AWS, including:

-AzureFunctions / AWS Lambda

-AzureAPI Management / Amazon API Gateway

-AzureBlob Storage / Amazon S3

-AzureSQL / Amazon RDS

-CosmosDB / Amazon DynamoDB or MongoDB Atlas

-AzureKey Vault / AWS Secrets Manager

-AzureMonitor & Application Insights / Amazon CloudWatch & X-Ray

-Developand maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps / AWS CodePipeline andCodeBuild.

-Leadimplementation of observability (tracing, logging, metrics) for productionenvironments.

-Guideintegration of Gen-AI capabilities (e.g., Langchain, LLMs, Vectorization) intobackend systems.

-Driveestimation, planning, and design discussions for new feature development.

Skillsand Qualifications

-5+years of software development and architecture experience, preferably inbackend and cloud-native systems.

-2+years of experience leading development teams and owning feature/system-leveldesign.

-Expertisein Python and one Python web framework (e.g., FastAPI, Flask, Django).

-Experiencebuilding serverless applications on Azure or AWS.

-Strongknowledge of REST APIs, microservices architecture, and distributed systems.

-Familiarwith OAuth2/OIDC (Azure AD B2C / Amazon Cognito) for secure authentication.

-Proficientwith relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

-Hands-onexperience with CI/CD tools, Git, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI.

-Understandingof infrastructure scalability, security best practices, and cloud costmanagement.

-Familiaritywith front-end basics (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, React).

-Exposureto LLMs, Vector Databases, and Gen-AI frameworks is a strong plus.
