Job Description

Maintenance & Sand Plant Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Oversee the daily maintenance and repair of foundry machinery and sand plant equipment.
Implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime and ensure machinery longevity.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical issues in the equipment.

Supervise sand preparation, mixing, and reclamation processes to maintain high-quality sand for casting operations.
Ensure proper functioning of sand screening, drying, and handling systems.
Monitor sand quality and adjust processes as needed to meet foundry specifications.

Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools required for maintenance activities.
Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely availability of parts.
Monitor the condition and usage of equipment and make recommendations for new purchases or upgrades.

Preferred candidate profile

Sound technical knowledge of
sand preparation & handling systems
.
Ability to troubleshoot equipment breakdowns quickly and minimize downtime.
Knowledge of
TPM / Lean maintenance practices
.
Familiarity with
CMMS / SAP-PM
modules for maintenance planning.
Strong
analytical and problem-solving skills
.
Good leadership qualities for handling technicians and contract manpower.
Safety-conscious with knowledge of EHS practices in foundry operations.

Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.
Good communication and team coordination skills.
Willing to work in shifts and handle emergency breakdowns.

Age: preferably below 30 years
