Job Description: Senior Observability Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Observability Engineer with deep expertise in monitoring, logging, and alerting systems. The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Elasticsearch integrations and have hands-on experience with a range of observability tools such as Filebeat, Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, and Zabbix. A strong automation mindset and proficiency in Terraform and Ansible are essential. You will be responsible for building and maintaining robust observability platforms that empower engineering teams with actionable insights and system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as SME for Elasticsearch and observability best practices.
• Design, implement, and maintain monitoring and logging frameworks using Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, Filebeat, and Zabbix.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, alerts, and visualization tools to provide real-time operational insights.
• Automate observability infrastructure deployment using Terraform and Ansible.
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps, and development teams to ensure observability standards are integrated into CI/CD and operations.
• Perform root cause analysis and enable proactive detection of system anomalies and failures.
• Define and track SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets for key services.
• Integrate observability tools with alerting and notification systems for streamlined incident management.

Must-Have Skills

• Strong experience with Jenkins to Elasticsearch integration and observability design
• Expertise in Filebeat, Prometheus, Grafana, Thanos, and Zabbix
• Hands-on experience in building observability dashboards and alert systems
• Infrastructure as Code experience using Terraform
• Automation-first mindset for scalability and efficiency
• Proficiency in integrating observability tools with CI/CD and cloud platforms
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills across distributed systems
• Experience with cloud monitoring services,
• Experience with containerized environments and Kubernetes observability
• Proficient with cloud platforms
