Senior Engineer / Engineer Firmware Developer

Based in Pune, India, you will be responsible for the full firmware/application development lifecycle activities, including requirement analysis, code implementation, and testing for real-time products such as RTU and Flow computers as part of a Scrum team member. You should be capable of taking ownership and delivering from one-line requirement to solution. You will be employed at Emerson Innovation Centre, Pune (EICP) and may be required to take ownership of an existing product on a need basis. In this role, your responsibilities will include secure firmware development as part of a Scrum team, participation in all Scrum events, contributing to all development activities, representing the team in global meetings, supporting legacy products, and adhering to local and international Emerson principles, practices, and procedures. As a self-motivated firmware developer, you will need to understand systems, collaborate with marketing to finalize requirements, create good designs, and implement solutions as part of a team. Teamwork, quality, and timeliness are essential to you, and you should be able to adapt to the team culture. To be successful in this role, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Computers/Electricals/Instrumentation from a reputable college, a minimum of 2 years of experience in the Embedded Domain including bare metal and RTOS-based systems, at least 1 year of experience with C++, and proficiency in software development within an industrial computing environment. Additionally, you should possess skills in OOAD, good software design using real-time concepts and data structures, and strong debugging skills with debuggers, Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers, protocol analyzers, etc. Preferred qualifications that set you apart include knowledge of industry communication protocols, PLC, RTU, Transmitters, Sensors, detailed knowledge and experience of Secure Development, innovation, deep diving capabilities, customer-centric thinking, and being action-oriented with high energy for challenging tasks.
