What will you do in this role
- Take ownership of design deliverables for single parts and subassemblies, ensuring time , function , and quality optimized solutions aligned with customer specs and internal standards.
- Develop and release detailed 3D models, part drawings, assembly drawings, and bills of materials managing the full release process.
- Lead and execute D FMEAs, participate in design reviews (including supplier workshops), and drive corrective actions via 8D reports as needed.
- Evaluate test results, derive technical measures and feed lessons learned into updated design standards.
- Identify technical challenges, propose robust solutions and implement improvements
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and new colleagues, fostering a collaborative, high performance culture.
What do we want you to bring to this role
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Transmission Technology or equivalent; proven track record as a gearbox designer (ideally in the wind energy sector).
- Strong proficiency in 3D CAD (NX preferred)
- Hands on mentality street smart and solution oriented, with a passion for methodical problem solving and continuous self development.
- Excellent communication skills in English and comfortable in leading technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to foster a collaborative team environment and willingness to share knowledge and best practices to build local expertise.
