Senior Engineer

As a Senior Backend Engineer at Avexa, you will play a pivotal role in the development of core platform services and APIs. Your responsibilities will include designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices using Java and Spring Boot. You will be tasked with architecting scalable backend solutions utilizing MongoDB and distributed services. It will be essential to write clean, maintainable, and testable code with a focus on performance optimization. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including product managers, front-end developers, and DevOps engineers, will be a key aspect of your role. You will be actively involved in defining, designing, and implementing new features while adhering to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment. The full development lifecycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring, will be within your purview. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to drive engineering excellence by setting and enforcing best practices in code quality, performance, and security. Mentoring junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and participating in technical discussions and architecture reviews will also be part of your remit. Ensuring robust CI/CD pipelines aligned with quality assurance practices is crucial to the success of our projects. To qualify for this role, you should possess a minimum of 4-6 years of experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and Microservice Architecture. Proficiency in MongoDB or other NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, JSON data modeling, Git, Docker, and CI/CD tools is essential. An understanding of application security, scalability, caching, error handling, as well as familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes, is required. A Bachelor of Engineering (BE) or a Masters in Computer Science Engineering (M.Tech/MCA) from a recognized university is preferred for this position. Additionally, experience with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), performance optimization tools, and authentication mechanisms such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and JWT would be advantageous.
