Senior Embedded Software Engineer (Function Safety)

Requirements:

Education:

BSEE, BSCE or BSCS

Responsibilities:

• Member of development teams for products which include embedded software elements.
• Provide functional safety representation in each team: Define safety requirements, define/verify safety architecture, contribute to risk analysis, perform safety analysis, perform formal reviews of safety documents, manage change throughout the product life-cycle.
• Work collaboratively with marketing, systems engineering, product engineering and customers to define functional safety requirements and support customers directly in technical reviews and audits throughout the product live-cycle.
• Provide leadership for functional safety in multiple development teams simultaneously
• Provide support in development and refinement of the software development process
• Be flexible in work schedule to support development teams in several global locations including North America, South America, Europe and Asia

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience developing or supporting development of embedded software using C/C++ for ARM microcontroller architecture
• 3-5 years of experience developing or supporting development of an element requiring integration of hardware and software (HSI)
• 3-5 years of experience defining software safety requirements, performing safety analysis and oversight of verification/validation of software and hardware integration per the requirements of ISO26262:2018-6 and/or ASPICE.

Beneficial:

Certification as functional safety Engineer (CFSE)

Experience with semiconductor IC development (power and/or sensors)

Experience with RISC-V microcontroller architecture
