Description
Design and Development: Lead the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and equipment. Ensure designs comply with industry standards, regulations, and safety codes. Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawings, and documentation. Project Management: Manage electrical projects from conception to completion. Develop project schedules, budgets, and resources allocation plans. Oversee procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems. Problem Solving and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve electrical faults and system malfunctions. Perform root-cause analysis for electrical system failures and implement corrective actions. Provide expert guidance to junior engineers and technicians during troubleshooting. Testing and Validation: Conduct performance testing,validation, and optimization of electrical systems. Ensure all electrical equipment is tested according to operational requirements. Implement testing protocols for quality assurance. Team Leadership and Supervision: Lead and mentor junior engineers and technicians. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met. Monitor team performance, provide technical guidance, and ensure high standards of work. Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with national and international electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards. Implement and enforce health and safety protocols for electrical worksites. Conduct regular audits to ensure safety compliance. Client Interaction: Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and vendors to understand requirements and provide technical solutions. Prepare and present technical reports, proposals, and progress updates to clients. Innovation and Research: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and industry best practices. Recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency, performance, and cost-effectiveness. Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Estimate costs for electrical systems and components. Monitor project costs to ensure they are within the allocated budget. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of designs, tests, and system modifications. Hands on experience in handling electrical hardware i.e connectors/contactors/ terminal tracking/identification for fault finding/SMPS/SSR/Relays/VFD/PLCs/ Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for project stakeholders and regulatory compliance. Required Skills and Qualifications: Diploma, Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or related field. Extensive experience in electrical design, installation, and maintenance. Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD) Strong knowledge of electrical codes and regulations Proven leadership and project management experience. Problem-solving skills.
