Role Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the

  electrical design

  for water and wastewater treatment plants from concept through commissioning.
• Review and develop detailed engineering documents:

  Single Line Diagrams (SLD), cable sizing, control schemes, earthing & lightning protection, panel schedules

  , and

  equipment specifications

  .
• Conduct

  power system modeling, load flow analysis

  , and equipment sizing (transformers, cables, switchgear, MCC, etc.).
• Ensure designs meet

  local codes

  ,

  international standards (IEC, IEEE)

  , and project requirements.
• Work closely with

  process, mechanical, instrumentation, and civil teams

  to ensure smooth system integration.
• Participate in and lead

  design reviews, HAZOPs, FATs

  , and technical discussions with clients and vendors.
• Provide technical support during

  construction, installation, and commissioning

  phases.
• Support

  technical bid evaluations

  , vendor document reviews, and supplier coordination.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to internal technical development initiatives.
  
• Keep abreast of latest

  electrical design tools

  , codes, and technologies relevant to water infrastructure.

Skills & Experience Required

• Bachelors degree (or higher) in

  Electrical Engineering

  .

• 8+ years of experience

  in electrical design and engineering for

  WTP/WWTP/STP/ETP/Desalination

  or similar infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in:
  
• Power distribution design
  
• MCC & control panel design
  
• Cable routing and voltage drop calculations
  
• Earthing & lightning protection systems
  
• Arc flash and short-circuit calculations
  
• Proficiency in tools like

  ETAP, AutoCAD, Dialux, or equivalent

  .
• Deep understanding of

  electrical interfaces with mechanical/process systems

  .
• Familiarity with relevant

  IEC/IEEE standards

  , local codes (e.g., Singapore SS, PUB, BCA guidelines).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  
• Prior experience in

  design-build or EPC project environments

  is a strong plus.
