Role Overview We are looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to take ownership of the electrical design, execution, and integration for our industrial water and wastewater treatment projects (WTP/WWTP/STP/ETP/Desalination). This is a leadership position within the engineering team, involving cross-discipline collaboration, mentoring, vendor management, and site support. The successful candidate will ensure that electrical systems are engineered to the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance, while meeting project timelines and budgets. Key Responsibilities Lead and own the electrical engineering scope across multiple water and wastewater treatment projects. Review, approve, and develop electrical design documentation: SLD, cable sizing, panel layouts, control wiring, earthing, lighting , and protection systems. Participate in design reviews, FATs , and ensure conformance to client requirements and international standards. Supervise or provide support during installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems on-site. Ensure designs comply with IEC, IEEE, and local codes (CEIG, CEA, etc.). Mentor junior electrical engineers and support team growth through knowledge sharing. Collaborate with the project management team to deliver cost-effective and high-quality solutions . Required Skills & Experience Bachelors Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering . 10+ years of hands-on experience in electrical design for WTP/WWTP/STP/ETP/Desalination or similar EPC infrastructure projects. Deep understanding of: Electrical equipment sizing (transformers, VFDs, switchgear) Motor control centers (MCC), lighting, and grounding systems Cable routing, selection, and protection Proficiency in design software tools such as ETAP, AutoCAD, Dialux, Excel .
