Senior Electrical Design Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to be part of our team, where you will be responsible for designing various electrical systems, creating detailed electrical drawings using CAD software, and managing material requirements. Your role will involve providing crucial technical support, preparing Bills of Materials (BOMs), scheduling work, troubleshooting issues, and overseeing commissioning activities. We are looking for an individual with a robust background in electrical system design, with a focus on precision, safety, and adherence to project specifications. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your key responsibilities will include designing electrical systems for Low-Tension (LT) and Medium-Voltage (MV) installations up to 150 kW, generators up to 150 kVA, and solar photovoltaic (PV) systems. You will be tasked with preparing accurate electrical drawings using AutoCAD, ensuring compliance with Indian Register of Shipping (IRS) standards. Regular site visits will be necessary to supervise electrical system installation work, troubleshoot technical issues, and submit drawings and design documents to the IRS for review and approval. Your role will also involve selecting appropriate electrical equipment for projects, overseeing the commissioning of control panel boards, creating Bills of Materials (BOMs), developing relationships with vendors, and managing project timelines. You will be required to visit project sites regularly, provide guidance and training to technicians, prepare cable schedules, support R&D initiatives, develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure quality control throughout the project. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience. Experience in the marine field would be advantageous. Strong technical skills in designing electrical systems, preparing drawings and documents, and familiarity with Indian standards and state electrical inspectorate regulations are essential. Possessing a Class B or Class A Electrical supervisory license would be a plus. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills are also required to effectively manage multiple tasks and collaborate within a team environment. The salary range for this position is 40,000-50,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, permanent position with benefits such as leave encashment, paid sick time, and paid time off. The work schedule includes day shifts, fixed shifts, and morning shifts.
