Senior Draughtsman

Key Responsibilities: Job Description / Responsibilities Having knowledge of Drafting & Drawing including Preparation of Bill of Material (BOM) for Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers. Should have knowledge of AutoCAD

Create Detailed Technical Drawings:

• Develop, modify, and maintain 2D technical drawings of Pressure vessel, Heat exchanger, Columns, Storage Tanks, Skid Mounted Packages, and Piping Spools. Using AutoCAD (Computer-Aided Design) software.
• Ensure drawings meet required standards, including industry, company, and client specifications.

Technical Documentation:

• Prepare technical documentation, including bills of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and part specifications for internal and external use.
• Ensure all documents are updated, organized, and stored properly for easy access.

Ensure Compliance with Standards:

• Ensure that designs comply with ASME standards and safety regulations.
• Conduct regular checks to ensure accuracy and adherence to quality standards in all drawings.

Project Support & Coordination:

• Work on multiple projects simultaneously, managing deadlines and priorities.
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure designs align with project goals and timelines.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in drafting and designing heavy machinery or similar industrial equipment.
• Proven experience using CAD software to create and modify technical drawings.

• Technical Skills

  :
• Proficient in AutoCAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of engineering principles and industrial design standards for heavy equipment.
• Ability to understand complex engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all design and drafting work.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to address design and manufacturing challenges.

• Other Requirements

  :
• Knowledge of materials used in heavy equipment manufacturing and their properties is a plus.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment construction and operations is an asset.
