Job Description

As a specialist in product Ads at Pocket, you will be responsible for taking full ownership of Pocket FM's end-to-end advertising strategy and execution. Your role will involve overseeing the ad tech stack, programmatic supply and demand, and direct sales. This high-impact leadership position will allow you to sit at the crossroads of revenue, product, growth, and operations with the autonomy to scale and innovate the monetization engine across India and global markets. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Ads Ecosystem & Strategy:** You will architect a comprehensive ad monetization strategy covering programmatic, direct, and branded formats. Your role will involve defining audio-first advertising across native, interactive, and storytelling-led formats. - **Ad Tech & Infrastructure:** Leading the evolution of the ad-tech stack including SSPs, DSPs, mediation, header bidding, pricing engines, and yield optimization. Your roadmap will be crucial in scaling advertising while ensuring a positive user experience. - **Product & Data Integration:** Collaborating with product, data science, and engineering teams to create seamless, relevant, and revenue-maximizing ad experiences. Running continuous experiments to balance LTV, engagement, and monetization outcomes. - **Demand Growth (Direct & Programmatic):** Scaling supply-side monetization globally by establishing direct relationships with performance advertisers and agencies. Building scalable programmatic demand pipelines. - **Sales Leadership:** Building and leading a high-performing sales team focused on branded content, audio-first campaigns, and category-specific innovation. Owning revenue goals and driving Pocket FM's monetization strategy across multiple markets. **Qualifications Required:** - Deep expertise across digital advertising with 10+ years in Ad-tech and monetization, including hands-on exposure to both programmatic and direct demand. - Strong grasp of ad infrastructure including SSPs, DSPs, ad servers, DMPs, MMPs, and yield tools. - Experience in operating within high-growth consumer tech environments such as OTT, gaming, audio, and marketplaces. - Strong business and product intuition with the ability to align long-term strategy with short-term execution. - A proven track record of building and leading high-impact, cross-functional teams. - Bonus: Familiarity with audio advertising, branded storytelling formats, or global exposure (US, SEA, MENA).
