Role & responsibilities

To lead the department in order to provide the highest level of hospitality service. Strives to achieve total patient satisfaction

• Provides nutrition services and medical nutrition therapy integrated with the patient's medical goals.
• Evaluates, interprets, monitors and documents the nutritional status and nutritional needs of hospitalized patients and out patients using established standards of care and practice guidelines.
• Identifies and provides age-specific nutrition counseling to meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families.
• Implements educational materials to meet the needs of patients and professionals.
• Writes order for diet, supplement, enteral/ parenteral nutrition and laboratory data as per hospital policy.
• Maintains registered dietitian (RD) status including continuing professional education per the Professional Development Portfolio.
• Comply with Nutrition Services meeting and attendance standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education

  : Should be M.Sc. in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or Clinical Nutrition (or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute).

• Experience

  : 812 years of experience in clinical nutrition, therapeutic diet planning, or hospital/healthcare setup.
• Ability to

  assess nutritional needs

  , prepare diet charts, and provide personalized counselling.
• Excellent

  communication and interpersonal skills

  for patient education and counselling.
• Familiarity with

  NABH/JCI guidelines

  will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in

  MS Office / EMR tools

  for documentation and patient records.
