Senior Design Engineer (tank, vessel, container)

leads the creation of manufacturable products, bridging design & production by ensuring designs are practical for metal fabrication (cutting, bending, welding), managing projects, mentoring juniors, and using CAD/analysis tools (SolidWorks, FEA) to turn concepts into reality, focusing on DFM (Design for Manufacturability) for complex assemblies, structures, and components, ensuring quality, cost-efficiency, and adherence to standards from concept to production

• Design Leadership:

  Lead design projects from concept to production, developing innovative solutions for complex mechanical systems, structures, or components.

• Design for Manufacturability

  (DFM):

  Ensure designs are optimized for fabrication processes (cutting, bending, welding, forming) and efficient assembly.

• Technical Expertise:

  Apply deep knowledge of materials, structural analysis, FEA, and CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) to solve complex problems.

• Project Management:

  Plan, schedule, budget, and execute design projects, managing scope and timelines effectively.

• Mentorship:

  Guide and mentor junior design engineers, fostering technical growth and collaboration.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  Work with R&D, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to define requirements and integrate designs.

• Documentation:

  Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and design reports, ensuring compliance with codes (BIS, ISO, etc.).

• Prototyping & Testing:

  Oversee validation of designs through prototyping and testing.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Education:

  Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Experience:

  5+ years in mechanical design, with a strong focus on fabrication.

• Software:

  Proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and FEA tools.

• Knowledge:

  Strong understanding of fabrication processes, material science, and industry standards.

• Soft Skills:

  Excellent leadership, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork.
