Senior Database migration Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Migration Engineer with at least 8 years of experience in database migration using Python and PySpark . The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in data handling using libraries like Pandas , cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) , and exposure to modern data platforms such as Databricks , ADF Mapping Data Flows , and Synapse Spark . Key Responsibilities: Design and execute scalable database migration solutions using Python and PySpark . Build and maintain ETL pipelines and handle large-scale data transformations. Work with AWS and Azure cloud environments for data movement and orchestration. Use Pandas and other data handling libraries for data manipulation and transformation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration processes. Handle customer escalations and resolve complex technical issues in high-pressure situations. Deliver technical presentations and solution overviews to internal and external stakeholders. Primary Skills Required: Python with strong experience in data handling (e.g., Pandas , NumPy). PySpark for distributed data processing and transformation. Strong working knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure . Hands-on experience with Database Migration tools and techniques. Secondary (Nice to Have) Skills: Azure Databricks Azure Data Factory (ADF) – Mapping Data Flows Azure Synapse Spark Passion for innovative technologies and customer transformation . Other Requirements: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to lead presentations , communicate solution value, and work with customer teams. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage critical customer issues effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-stakes environments.
