Senior Database migration Engineer

As a highly experienced Senior Data Migration Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and executing scalable database migration solutions using Python and PySpark. Your key responsibilities will include building and maintaining ETL pipelines, handling large-scale data transformations, and working with AWS and Azure cloud environments for data movement and orchestration. You will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth migration processes and handle customer escalations effectively. Your primary skills should include proficiency in Python with strong experience in data handling using libraries like Pandas and NumPy, as well as expertise in PySpark for distributed data processing and transformation. Additionally, you should have a strong working knowledge of AWS and Microsoft Azure, along with hands-on experience in Database Migration tools and techniques. While not mandatory, it would be beneficial to have secondary skills in Azure Databricks, Azure Data Factory (ADF) Mapping Data Flows, and Azure Synapse Spark. A passion for innovative technologies and customer transformation would also be a plus. In addition to technical skills, you should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences. You should be able to lead presentations, communicate solution value, and effectively manage critical customer issues. The ability to work independently and as part of a team in high-stakes environments is essential for this role.
