Senior Database Developer - SQL Server

As a qualified candidate for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL development. Your expertise should include the ability to write complex Stored Procedures and SQL Queries, as well as hands-on experience in performance tuning of such procedures and queries. You should have a strong command of Dynamic SQL, Table Type Variables, and Temporary Tables, along with good knowledge in handling JSON in databases. Additionally, you must demonstrate a proven ability to work with large and complex relational database systems. Your knowledge, skills, and abilities should encompass a solid understanding of software development life cycle and database design principles, strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently while managing tasks with minimal supervision. Experience in prioritizing tasks, handling escalations, and collaborating with distributed teams is essential, as well as being comfortable coordinating with onsite stakeholders for requirements gathering and delivery. You should also be willing to work extended hours when needed. It would be beneficial if you have exposure to NoSQL, Vector Databases, and Graph Databases, with a willingness to learn new technologies, or if you have 12 years of experience leading a small development team or mentoring junior developers. In this role, your responsibilities will include designing, developing, and maintaining relational database systems for high-performance applications, writing and optimizing complex queries and stored procedures, participating in database design, data warehouse structuring, and schema optimization, working closely with development teams to integrate backend database logic with front-end applications, performing query tuning and performance optimization, troubleshooting and resolving issues in existing SQL code or database structures, and documenting database structures, procedures, and configuration changes clearly and accurately.
