Senior Database Application Associate

Senior Database Application Associate

Key Responsibilities

Develop, debug, and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query rewriting, and execution plan analysis.
Support schema design, data modeling, and architecture improvements.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and application issues.
Analyze large SQL queries used in reports and ensure optimized queries return accurate results.
Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge articles.
Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders to validate logic and resolve performance issues.
Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and backup policies.

Required Skills

Strong expertise in
SQL (SQL Server)
including joins, subqueries, CTEs, window functions, and aggregations.
Hands-on experience in performance tuning, indexing, and execution plan analysis.
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Good to Have

Experience with BI tools like
Power BI, Tableau, Cognos
.
Understanding of BI concepts, metadata layers, and reporting models.
